King Marine Launches the new VO70 - Telefonica Team which has used Resoltech 4030W - water based epoxy paint. It enables the boat to comply with the new rule of having the interior painted in a light color for security purposes and for the cameras to be able to film. Here are the pics of the boat coming out of king marine. It enabled them thanks to it very high coverage properties to have the minimum weight/sqm. The “One Shot” infusion system eliminates physically demanding steps like trimming, sanding and bonding parts for final assembly, therefore increasing productivity but also helps improving working conditions of operators as no more dust is generated. The seamless hollow parts produced are lighter thanks to the elimination of any unions and their mechanical characteristics are greatly improved thanks to the suppression of bonding traditionally done with adhesives reinforced with hand laminations.
The epoxy matrix is a key element in the resin infusion process. Resoltech 1800 combines a very low viscosity (180mPAs) and a high TG (130°C after a cure at only 70°C).This system allows for infusion through the laminate without using a resin transfer medium.

The RESOLCOAT 2010FC is a self-levelling epoxy coating for ship decks. It complies with SOLAS & IMO rules. First application was on Alstom’s 68,000 Tons Cristal Serenity passenger liner. It solves all the problems linked to cement-based products.
A new Ceccarelli designed IMS 42 sailing yacht is being built out of Resoltech’s composite technology. The sandwich structure is a sophisticated blend of multiaxial and unidirectional reinforcements with the Resoltech 1040 epoxy system. Variable density cores are bonded with the 3050T adhesive system.
